Xhorse XM series Toyota smart key XSTO00EN is now pre-order, will soon be available in a month or two.  Here vvdishop.com collects some frequently asked questions and answers of the smart key.

Q: Is it for Toyota only? what about Lexus?

A: It is for both Toyota and Lexus.

Q: it has programmable ID?

A: Yes can change ID and frequency as you like.

Q: is XM key the old or new remote?

A: depends on the PCB code , check the xhorse App , all list is supported we tried on 2010-2013-2016-2018.

Q: There are only 315 frequency?

A: It has 312MHz 315MHz 314MHz 433MHz optional frequencies.

Q: How much is the XM smart key?

A: Per smart key PCB takes US$51.99 free shipping.

Q: Do regular universal prox not work with the Toyota prox systems?

A: No, you need special ones. There is a list using the XM smart key.

Q: only mentioned xhorse key tool but no mentions of vvdi2 and mini key tool.  Can i use the XM key with vvdi2 and mini keytool?

A:  The Toyota XM smart key can be used with xhorse vvdi2, key tool max, mini key tool and vvdi key tool plus pad.

Our engineer tested it with VVDI2,  2010-2015-2018 all working and proxy antenna is very good

Q: i have both mini key tool and vvdi2, the vvdi2 is for the transponder and the mini key tool is for the remote side of it?

A: mini keytool just to renew it and change frequency , generation is accurate and good via vvdi2.

Q: XSTO00CH TOY Toyota 8A Smart Key can be used on  toyota prius 2007-2014?

A: No, it cannot.

Q: Is there a car list of the Xhorse XM smart key?

A: Support version: 0020, 0010, 2110, 0182, 3330 etc

You can download xhorse app and check Toyota remote list,  the XM smart key can be used if there is red PROX icon.

Q: Does it require points to generate?

A:  You will need 200 points for the first-time generation. To get free points you need to generate VVDI universal remotes. Rewrite does not require points.

Q: Supports rewrite?

A: Yes, it can be renewed and rewrite.

Q: Can it also work for Lexus LX570 year 2014?

A:  No, it cannot.

Q: Does it come with key shell?

A: No, only key PCB.

Xhorse Mini OBD Read Citroen Peugeot PIN via OBD

 Xhorse VVDI Mini OBD tool can read PIN code from Pugeot and Citroen. With the PIN you can program key (add key/all keys lost). All you need is a VVDI Mini OBD and a Smartphone.

Example:

Insert Mini obd tool with vehicle via OBD socket
in Mini OBD App, select IMMO programming->Peugeot->Password reading->Type (Here select Type 1 CAN)->Start execution

Loading data
This function will cause wiper to move, which is normal

Turn on double flash indicators

Select IMMO Password reading

Read PIN success

How to Renew Honda Motorcycle Key with Xhorse Mini Key Tool?

 Xhorse VVDI Mini Key Tool can renew/unlock Honda cycle key Transponder 47 easily and quickly.

How to renew/unlock?

Connect Mini Key Tool in Xhorse app via Bluetooth, press

Special function >> Honda cycle key renew

Put Honda key into Mini Key Tool coil position to detect.

Press “Read”.

Key information was read out.

As you can see, its status is “Already locked”.

Press “Unlock”.

Unlock key successfully.

The key status has turned to be unlocked.

Now you can use it to generate new key.

Where to Find MB Points Function in Xhorse Key Tool Plus?

 Every Xhorse VVDI BE key pro has 200 points which can be exchanged to 1 token for MB online calculation. Points can be download before you program key or after. Where is this function in xhorse vvdi key tool plus?

In key tool plus, select Immo Programming->Benz->Select from system->Points system->Start programming

Here you can verify BE key (verify whether BE key has points) and upload points to exchange token.

Then insert VVDI BE key PCB into VVDI key tool plus

If Key have points you will see message: “This BE key has bonus points.”

If POINTS already used you will see message:  “This BE key doesn’t have bonus points, its points was already used.”

Click UPLOAD POINTS to upload it to your key tool plus pad.

The procedure is similar as VVDI MB.

Xhorse Condor Cut a Key Hyundai ix35 2009-2011

 Xhorse Condor XC-Mini Plus key cutting machine can decode & cut by key code for vehicles. Here I will show to work for Hyundai ix35 key as example.

Install the original key on clamp, and fix it flat.

Go to press on Condor XC-Mini tablet screen.

Decode Key Code

Key duplication >> Hyundai >> ix35 >> LM(09-11) >> Confirm

Key decode >> Confirm

XC-Mini Plus machine starts decoding…

Press “Search” to query key code.

Query complete, it is P0544.

Take out the key, and fix the key blank to be cut on clamp.

Cut By Key Code

Go back to home page, press

Key database >> Hyundai >> Input key code: P544, press “Confirm”

Select key code: P0001-P2500 series, cuts note – 8, compatible key – Silca, press “Confirm”.

Press “cut”.

Condor Mini Plus machine starts cutting…

Wait until cutting finished.

Clear iron scraps, take out the key to compare with original key, they are same.

It does work as well.
