How to decode and copy Toyota 8A chip key with xhorse vvdi mini key tool.
Model example: Toyota Fortuner 2017
Device used: vvdi mini key tool, vvdi super chip
In mini key tool, select Transponder Clone
Put original key into induction coil
Identify original key information
8A transponder, cloneable.
Press Clone->Start Clone
Input chip to be copied, better super chip
Start Toyota H online calculation.
Copy 8A chip key successfully.
Here are the tips to cut shoulder stop keys on the Xhorse Condor or Dolphin key cutting machines.
Definitely easier to use it than to eyeball it. We are going to show you how to use the shoulder stop with it.
The shoulder stop has a little lip on it and that little lip actually fits into that groove and that actually acts as your shoulder stop.
We are doing a duplication for the bike.
Let’s grab the vvdi key tool max. We are already connected.
Go to All Keys Lost->Yamaha, put code A7354 and you need the internet to actually use the code search on it.
Pulls it up tells us M1 clamp shoulder align and 2 4 3 1 3 1 4 so let’s the correct bitting on there.
Our jaw clamped in there, grab the shoulder stop here.
Fit it into a little groove here, you just simply slide the key and push the shoulder stop up.
You just push the key until you know hit the shoulder stop.
Clamp it in it just takes the guesswork out of it here you don’t have to eyeball it.
basically, you’re going to do it again as you can see so you got your shoulder stop in the groove here and you just slide the key until it until it hits the shoulder stop and then just clamp it
in and then i’m going to put this back on my little magnet up here tightens my grub screw and these magnets on top of the machine work really really well.
Then now we’re all ready to cut the key here. Just go ahead and uh hit cutting key. The machine will do its thing here.
We got the key, we’ll just loosen the grub screw here pull the key out and turn on the bike.
The key works perfectly.
Problem:
Did a 2008 VW Passat all keys lost using xhorse vvdi2 and vvdi prog.
Read EEPROM out of circuit, found 7th Byte, Generated Dealer Key.

My question is do I need to write back file?
When I finished making dealer key it says “Key Make Okay and Locked”
but doesn’t give option to save new file.
Not sure of The process I did to make dealer key is taking up a slot or just made a copy of existing key?

Solution:
Can do either
No writing file back reinstall to car and learn by obd. With vvdi you could even clone from existing dump reinstall and will just start.
Load dump into transponder programming on first screen before selecting VW.
Choose an existing slot and make dealer key. (just copy working key from existing slot.), then no need to write back if use existing slot need vvdi super chip.
Megamos chips do not write back. Such as 48 and 13.
You just read file and match with the chips. Same procedure for Volvo, Honda with 13 chips, Volkswagen,audi and all others.

Generate remote success.
Connect VVDI Key Tool Plus to OBD.
Immo programming >> AlfaRomeo >> By model >> Immo system >> GIULIA >> 2015- >> Keyless Go >> Start programming >> Read PIN code
Switch ignition on.
Pincode was successfully read out.
Go in”Smart key adding”.
Switch ignition off, and turn onsecurity warning light. Click”OK”.
Key Tool Plus will auto input the password.
The smart key sensing area is located in the middle armrest box. When prompted to press the remote after clicking “OK”, do not take out the sensing area, press remote in sensing area directly.
Keep pressing and releasing the Unlock button on watch within 30s…
Programmed successfully.
Go out to test with the car.
Wecan open the trunk, unlock car and start engine directly by the xhorse sw-007 smart watch.
Easy done.
