How to use Xhorse VVDI Mini Prog to read 2013 Subaru BRZ EEPROM on an ECU certification module? It’s not allowed reading by pressure, but can work with EEPROM adapter. Following I’m gonna show the procedure.
Preparation
As you can see, this is the EEPROM MCU what I’m going to remove. I covered with aluminum foil so that the aluminum foil can absorb most of the heat.
It’s always very imperative and important that you mark position 1 on the chip until closest place on the board. Or you can remember where 1 is at. But on this board, it’s particularly right here where it says R074. There’s a little narrow pointing into pin number 1.
I’m gonna line it up into the XDNP10 EEPROM Adapter chip slot.
Read EEPROM Data
Go to Mini Prog app:
EEPROM and FLASH >> SEIKO >> S-93C86BD >> Read >> EEPROM >> Start operation
Press START button on Mini Prog.
Press “Save and edit”, we can see the data directly.
Save the file.
Data file path:
File management >> Local file >> Date >> File
Put the other key to VVDI Key Tool Plus or something tool like that, I can utilize that file. By uploading the file to Xhorse cloud so that my other devices can access it as well.
Key Programming
Immo programming >> Toyota >> Select by type >> Smart key system >> All smart remotes lost >> Generate emergency key >> OK >> OK >> OK >> My data >> Select data file >> Download >> Download here >> Save
Now I can load the file to generate a Subaru key with 78 type.
Today I wanna use Xhorse VVDI Mini Prog to reset 2014 Range Rover KVM module. As it’s all keys lost, I should remove the KVM module to write virgin files. After successfully reset, just write back to the key.
In the process, I’ll use the special Xhorse XDNP16 Adapter that allows you to work without soldering. For some reasons, the VVDI Mini Prog programmer has been underestimated. But in my opinion, it’s a very worthwhile device, especially in sudden situations on the road. Without further ado, let’s get start.

Go to Xhorse app to start reading:
Immo >> Land Rover >> RFA – SECURED(MC9S12XEQ384) >> Adapter
As you can see, here we can read, write, erase, read/write partition, unlock/lock the data. But I just need to write virgin data files to reset the KVM module. The files you can either buy or search somewhere on the Internet.
I’ve transferred the files and download to phone previously, so directly press
Write >> D-FLASH >> Load D-FLASH file >> Write >> Start >> Continue
Write completely.
Write >> EEE >> Load EEE file >> Write >> Start >> Continue
Write completely.
Write >> P-FLASH >> Load P-FLASH file >> Write >> Start >> Continue
Write completely.
Write >> POF >> Load POF file >> Write >> Start >> Continue
Write completely.
The KVM module has been successfully reset.
Now I can put KVM back to the car to register keys.
Just done a test using the xhorse multifunction adapter with xhorse mini prog and it works fine.
I read BMW ECU, first using vvdi prog.
Then I read using mini prog and adapter.
in Mini Prog app, select BMW EDC17C50_Fxx. It shows wiring diagram with XDNP30 BOSH ECU Adapter. I don’t have this adapter, i have the old Bosch ecu adapter for vvdi prog.
The multi-function adapter can be used to connect the old bosch adapter with mini prog.
You can see it gives same ISN

1.Read EEPROM with VVDI Mini Prog
Remove CAS3+ Module
Connect mini prog CAS3 solder free adapter with CAS3 module
Follow mini prog app prompts to read EEPROM and save data
2.Make dealer key with xhorse vvdi key tool max
In key tool max app, select Special function -Immo data tool- BMW- CAS3+ 0L15Y
Then load eeprom read by the mini prog
Write key with dump
Reinstall CAS3+ module.
Test new key and remote control.
Done.
How to use Xhorse Mini Prog + VVDI Key Tool Max to program a dealer key M95320 for 2013 Volkswagen Passat CC? Today I’ll demonstrate it on bench.
Read & Save EEPROM
Remove the outer shell to take out chip.
Hold and push Mini Prog straight down on the M95320 chip.
Press on Key Tool Max meanwhile,
EEPROM and FLASH >> ST >> M95XXX >> M95320(pressure) >> Read >> EEPROM >> Start operation >> Continue >> Rename, OK
(Note: DO NOT lay down Mini Prog during reading.)
Read & save EEPROM file successfully.
The Mini Prog screen will show an OK button, which means “Done”.
Program Dealer Key
Switch to Xhorse Key Tool Max function page, press
Special function >> Immo data tool >> Europe >> VW >> Passat >> Comfort ID48 – 95320 >> Start execution >> Load EEPROM file
Select an unused key position: key 4, press “Prepare dealer key”.
Select “Megamos 48”.
Place a new key into Key Tool Max coil.
OK >> OK
Prepare dealer key success.
It can start engine after write back new dump file.
Press “OK” to save the new dump file.
Rename, save >> OK
Let’s go back to Xhorse Mini Prog page to write new dump file.
EEPROM and FLASH >> ST >> M95XXX >> M95320(pressure) >> Write >> EEPROM >> Start operation >> Select dump file to load
Turn on Mini Prog and hold it straight on M95320 chip again.
Start operation >> Continue
(Note: DO NOT lay down Mini Prog during writing.)
Write completely.
Key programming has done!
Program 2013 VW Passat CC a M95320 key with Xhorse Key Tool Max & VVDI Mini Prog was successful!
