 Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus Pad can detect ignition coil to confirm whether the vehicle is equipped with chip & immo system when all keys lost.

How to detect vehicle ignition coil for AKL?

1. Place VVDI Key Tool Plus coil close to ignition, enter into: Special function >> Ignition switch coil signal detection;
2. Use a programmed mechanical key to turn on/off ignition;
3. If Key Tool Plus Pad displays chip info with beeps, which means the vehicle is equipped;

If Key Tool Plus Pad has no any response, which means the vehicle is not equipped.

Other Purpose

1. This function can test ignition coil is work normally or not. To troubleshoot in case keys failed to start vehicle or unable to learn.

2. This function can also help to find the induction area on vehicle. Most smart remotes need to approach induction area for key programming. If don’t know where it is, keep Xhorse Key Tool Plus coil moving close to possible areas and push START button meanwhile. As soon as the tablet prompts, you’ve found it.

Program Benz W251 All Keys Lost with Xhorse Key Tool Plus

 Mercedes W251 (w164 EIS with NEC) all keys lost xhorse vvdi key tool plus failed to calculate password (data acquisition failed). Autel IM608 cannot too (ZGW connected with EZS using GBOX).

Not possible to read NEC by soldering points. Any solution?

Tips:

Connected on bench as showed on diagram. Voltage increased to 14v. Voltage/battery has to be very strong.  Also turn the collector slightly and clamp in that position. Autel still cannot calculate. But key tool plus is working.

Finally, key tool plus gave password.

Autel failed me again on MB.

How to Cut Honda HON66 Key with Xhorse Dolphin XP005L

 Here we going to show how to duplicate a map wave key Honda HON66 with Xhorse Dolphin II XP005L key cutting machine.

Tap on Dolphin touch screen:

Vehicle database >> Honda >> All key blank >> HON66

It tells to use the M5 clamp side A, tip align 5^th position.

Place the original key according to tips.

Xhorse Dolphin 2 is going to start reading the bittings…

Decode key complete.

Once we have the bitting codes, remove the key to insert a new new one to cut.

Adjust it well to tip align 5^th.
