It is an Audi MQB Cluster with Renesas BGA Chip 5G1920856C (Chip ID uPD70F3532). Here we will show how to extract immo data using Xhorse Multi Prog and VVDI2 programmer.
This is the adapter. It’s a BGA chip.
Connect MQB solder free adapter with BGA cluster and Multi prog
Connect Multiprog with laptop
It reads the chip data.
Save chip data.
Run VVDI2 software
Select MQB platform Instruction Immobilizer-> Instrument with locked NEC35xx(MQB48, VDO/JCI)
Decode Immo data
Upload encrypted data read by multi prog
It is calculating.
We can see CS, PIN, MAC
with that saved data we can generate dealer keys.
We still need sync data. Check here to obtain sync data from 3rd party.
Xhorse Multi-prog programmer new tested report from one of vvdishop.com‘s customers.
Read Rolls Royce MSD87 ECU successfully.
Procedure:
Select Device->Engine->Rolls Royce->Ghost->BMW Continental MSD87
Multi prog will show engine and chip information, way to read, data it can read and data size
Here we can see it can be read on bench.
Check wiring diagram
Connect Xhorse multi prog with MSD87 DME via ECU adapter V1.0 following the pinout
Read INT eeprom
Read internal eeprom in 1min 16s
Save data
Read INT Flash, MAPS, EXT EEPROM, EXT Flash one by one and save all data.
Multi-prog also reads the ISN code.
Press ISN and start to read
Read 32-bit long ISN code successfully.
Write eeprom and flash also works.
How to read BMW Bosch MEVD17.2.9 ECU using Xhorse Multi-prog programmer on bench?
Run Multi prog software
Select Device->ECU->BMW->BMW Bosch MEVD17.2.9-Fxx(N20)
Check wiring diagram
Following wiring diagram to connect ECU with Multi-prog via mcu cable
Xhorse Multi prog can read eeprom, flash and ISN for this ECU.
Read ISN
Read ISN in 2min 9s very fast
Read and save INT eeprom
Read and save INT Flash.
Same procedure goes to other Bosch ECUs.
If Xhorse Multi Prog shows no device connected, don’t worry. You may need to install driver manually.
The driver installation guide is for Windows 7 operating system. Windows 10 will automatically install device driver.
First of all, connect multi-prog with laptop via USB cable.
Then power on multi prog.
If windows says device driver software was not successfully installed, go to device manager, check device status.
You can see Multi-prog device is not connected (yellow exclamation mark)。
Run xhorse multi prog software. Go to Help tag->Install driver
Press Yes to allow Zadig to check for application updates online.
This brings Zadig diaglog. It will show multi-prog device name.
If it does not show device name, need to unplug or change USB port, then plug USB cable again.
Then choose device type as USB Serial (CDC), press Install Driver
The driver was installed successfully.
If device still not connects, run Win7 Fix driver. It should be fine.
Done.
