We here just to inform you that Xhorse Multi Prog software V1.2.3.0 and firmware V1.2.7 fix the issue that the adapter for the CAS4 not working with the multi prog.
Firmware V1.2.7 fixed 9S12 reading issue using CAS4+ solderless adapter to decode CAS4+ (5M48H).
XDNP CAS4 adapter has two versions, V1.2 and V1.3. The V1.3 new type of adapter with rely inside, V1.2 does not.
The old one V1.2 CAS4 adapter works perfectly.
This is a 2013 BMW 640i CAS4+. We set up the CAS4 solder free adapter with module and multi prog.
Menu: Immobilizer->BMW->CAS4 5M48H BACKUP (Adapter) option
Then read D-flash.
It is trying to decode the chip.
Read D-flash successfully. The file is huge.
We get a good read.
Some users reported that they failed to generate Xhorse XSSBR0EN Subaru XM38 remote on Subaru 8A/4D smart key models.
For example:
Tried to generate KeylessGp 4D, Legacy 2020-2022 8A, and Crosstrek 2018-2022 8A remote with Subaru XM38 but got an error.
Solution:
Check the compatible remote type in Xhorse App.
You should use XM-28 Toyota or XM38 Toyota remotes for Subaru 4A/8A smart keys.
As for the Subaru XM38, it is the universal XM38 remote.
These keys aren’t the XM38 Toyota special keys just nxp orange keys don’t work for Toyota or Subaru.
It can be used to generate remotes compatible with the XM38 Smart Key option.
Now, the Xhorse MQB RH850 V850 Adapter for Multi-Prog is available. It supports reading VW 4th gen Johnson Controls 34xx series, MQB-RH850(R7F) series and MQB 34xx series instruments. Required to use the MultiProg Programmer meanwhile.
For those who need to calculate immo data, VVDI2 or VVDI Key Tool Plus are both good choice. Following we’ll demonstrate the process on how to read MQB48 R7F701402 instrument data.

Press OK to save MQB48 immo data file!
The file can be used for making dealer key & adding key.
This is the usage method of MQB-RH850/V850 adapter for MULTI-PROG. No cutting wires, no lifting pins. Significantly reduces the risk of instrument damage. Very practical!
