The instruction is to force Unlock BMW CAS4 with Xhorse Multi Prog if simple Unlock does not work.
Connect CAS4 module with multi prog via mcu adapter.
First we try simple unlock.
Select CAS4-5M48H-R/W/UNLOCK option

Confirm you already backed up eeprom and flash.
Unlock failed. Then we try force unlock.

Select CAS4-5M48H-Force UNLOCK option in multi prog software.
Press UNLOCK.
Unlock CAS4 chip successfully.
Then select CAS4-5M48H-R/W/UNLOCK again
Read chip ID.
Read D-flash and P-flash then save.

Today I’m gonna use Xhorse Multi Prog Programmer to do cloning for a 2009 Land Rover Discovery 3 CEM.
I’ve selected my Discovery 3 SIM.
Now after the connection, I read it and the moment it find the chip ID. You can see the VIN number of the BCM that was given to me.
Since I’m going to write the customer’s data into it, I should save the reading data first in case of anything I can restore it back.
Open the data file from customer.
I’ll check the VIN number and make sure that’s correct. We can see the key codes, key IDs and VIN.
After confirmation, click “Write”.
Xhorse Multi-Prog writes quickly, it only took 13 seconds.
Next I’ll read it again then compare to the file from customer. To see if the file are the same.

The two files being compared are the same!

It is a PSA Delphi DCM6.2C SPC5674F ECU.
Read and write DCM6.2C in boot successfully with Xhorse Multi prog.
Read in boot ok.
Write in boot ok.
Online checksum calculation was ok.
It just takes longer in writing (12m) but it worked.
SCR Off works.
Car starts.
