Xhorse Dolphin XP005 with and without battery difference

 What’s the difference between 2023 new Xhorse dolphin xp005 (without battery version) and old Dolphin XP005 (with battery version)?

New Dolphin XP005:

1. Without built-in battery. Works with or without battery.

If need battery, you can buy an optional battery for dolphin.

If without battery, you can take out for work by car.

2. Comes with M5 clamp in default (M5= M1+M2)

Old Dolphin XP005:

1.Come with built-in battery.  Works only with built-in battey. Cannot work without battery.

2. Old dolphin comes with M1 and M2 clamps in default. Also compatible with M5 clamp (purchase separately.)

Apart from that, they make no difference in appearance and functions.

How to Fix Xhorse XM38 Toyota RAV4 2020 Remote No Working

 Problem:

I’m trying to add a Xhorse XM38 smart key to a 2020 RAV4 using vvdi Key tool plus. I was able to backup eeprom data and program the key, but the only way to start the vehicle was by holding down the power button with the remote key. The remote wasn’t working either but I modified the frequency and got it to work. Does anyone know if I’m supposed to modify anything else in order to get the key to start the vehicle without having to push start with the key in button?  I tried 315 and it didn’t work. 312.11 and 314.35 worked.

Possible Solutions:

1).

The frequency is still not right, that’s why, try modify it.

Just changed frequency like original remote.

2). 

Another possibility is change the prox power settings.

Proximity power setting- last line on modifying Toyota Smart key is signal strength.
The lower the number, stronger the signal.
0 being most strongest and 6 being the weakest.

Some people changed the signal strength after that it will work good.

3).

You gotta add another key use another universal smart key to add a second key you can always reuse key again.

Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Max Pro and VVDI Key Tool Plus Difference

 What’s the difference between xhorse vvdi key tool max pro and vvdi key tool plus? There something that I can do it with key tool plus that max pro cannot do?

Key tool max pro does not have Prog function. It cannot read eeprom, ecu, mcu.

Key tool max pro does not have BMW and Benz immo programming function.

Key tool max pro doesn’t make BMW FEM/BDC keys and Benz keys while key tool plus can.

The max pro is great for generating and cloning chips, and setting up xhorse universal fobs and such, and even has a decent obd programming ability, but on that last one it is pretty limited. For obd programming you’ll want something bigger and better like a vvdi key tool plus or equivalent.

Keytool plus working good with BMW and Benz keys.
