Can VVDI Prog Read BMW ECU MSV80?

Question :

VVDI prog can read this ECU BMW MSV80? i want to clone ECU.

 

Solution:

You can’t clone msv80 with vvdi. Otp sector ISN. Read used DME ISN and write it to CAS.

Vvdi prog can’t read this ecu! VVDI2 & VVDI BMW yes, read isn via OBD /by ecu pinout. Then you can put ISN of DME to CAS.

IM608 and Autohex II will read the ISN as well.

Vote: Xhorse VVDI PROG or UPA USB PROGRAMMER for mcu and eeprom.

VVDI PROG has a very good price compared to the competition (like all VVDI products). VVDI PROG does a lot of things, from CAS4 to copying eeprom in old ECUs. VVDI PROG doesn’t make many Motorola MCUs for this you need xprog or upa ( e.g. Mercedes ECU Bosch ME2.0 ).

for VVDIPROG buy an eeprom clip. Makes work a lot easier.

How to copy/clone a smart key using VVDI Key Tool Max? Here takes an example of Kia ID46 smart key cloning.

You’ll need:

A original smart key

A Xhorse smart remote key

VVDI Key Tool Max

Put original smart key into key tool max’s induction area

Select Remote Clone->Transponder Clone->ID46 online calculation->->Copy proximity remote

*Online calculation requires network connection.

Insert original key into card slot and put Key Tool Max close to the Start button for data acquisition

Calculation success

Put Xhorse smart remote to the induction area

Clone smart key success

Remote control works

The new xhorse smart key can start vehicle
