Xhorse MVCI Pro Tech2Win No VCI Selection?

 Problem:

I got the xhorse mvci pro passthru to work with GM Tech2win software, after install Tech2win and connect vci, i cannot see mvci pro device. Any idea?

Solution:

To use software with mvci pro, you have to install the corresponding driver in device manager.

Xhorse has not released driver for GM GDS2/Tech2win yet. So it cannot be used with mvci pro.

Can I Program VAG MQB49 5C Key by Xhorse VVDI2?

 Questions:

Q1: Can i make key VW Jetta 2020 and tiguan 2020 MQB49 5c with xhorse vvdi2?

Q2: How can I make key for Immo 5C with VVDI2, how to calculate?

Q3: How do i get immo data mqb49/5c on vvdi key tool plus?

Answer:

• Only  Johnson Control instrument is supported by xhorse.
• Xhorse key tool plus or vvdi2 will only add key to MQB49 (still need sync data), they cannot do MQB49 all keys lost.

Add key:

If the key is MQB49 or 5C you can add key with vvdi2 or key tool plus.

You need proper immo data file and key. If xhorse cannot calculate data, need to get immo data from 3rd party.

If the key is mqb49 (5c), i.e VW Tiguan 2022, is currently not supported. Not possible now with immo data file. You cannot make key with xhorse devices.

Key needs to get from dealer and activate online with Odis.

All keys lost:

No, it cannot be done with xhorse devices.

Need key of dealer and then odis.
Also odis can not program after-market keys only OEM.

How to Solve Xhorse Mini Key Tool Stuck on USB to PC

 Problem:

I am having an issue with the xhorse mini key tool. I was updating it (firmware) via upgrade kit and the battery died.  Now I keep getting fails trying to complete update and tool is stuck on ‘USB —PC’.  It says SAFE1 also when I turn it on.

Solution:

Firmware upgrade should be done via Upgrade kit.

If key tool battery is low or the internet is unstable, you will fail to update firmware.

Charge keytool and change network, try several times.

If all failed, there is something wrong with the mini key tool. Send back to your dealer for repair.

Program 2017 Nissan Versa Key by Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus

 Following I’m gonna show how to add a smart key for 2017 Nisscan Versa with Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus Pad by OBD. This is a working key and a new key. Before programming, you’ll have to read out the BCM codes.

Read BCM Code

Immo programming >> Asia >> Nissan >> Select from system >> Smart >> 4 digits PIN >> Type 5(no slot – button type) >> Start programming >> Read BCM code

Switch ignition on! Click “OK”.

Body computer number(BCM number) has been read out.

Use the “5-digit BCM code calculation password” function to get the password to match(This function requires online)!

Perform calculate of PIN codes by online?

Note:

1. This function requires online network computing.
2. Please keep the network unblocked.

Click “Yes”.

The BCM code and passwords were read out.

Just take a photo to record.

Program New Key

Program smart key >> Input password

Take all smart key out of the car and click the start button once, turn on the security light(double flash lights).

To match the smart card, the direction lock must be released first(the program is released)

Yes: Automatically release the direction lock and execute the matching function.

No: Directly execute the matching function(used when the direction lock has been released by the program).

Click “No”.

Please follow the step below to complete the matching operation:

1. Paste the back of the smart key to be matched to the start button, press START button, wait for the immo light to go off, then turn off the ignition switch.
2. If you add more keys, please repeat step1 & step3. stick the back of the matched smart keys to the start button, and turn off the ignition after starting the car.
3. If the direction lock does not reset, try to press the start button several times to open and close the driver’s door until the direction lock is reset.

After the matching is completed, verify the key as follows:

Open the door once, press the remote UNLOCK and LOCK button once, start the engine and wait for 5s.

Complete.

This is using VVDI Key Tool Plus to add 2017 Nisscan Versa key successfully.

No, there is no 8HP in E series in the menu.

VVDI BIMTool Pro supports BMW E series 6HP, F series 6HP and F series 8HP.

VVDI BIM Tool BMW EGS Function Introduction:

Read gearbox status: Support to read 8HP gearbox status, whether it is a new, etc

Diagram: OBD and gearbox connection diagram

Backup coding: Back up the code in the gearbox

Restore coding: Restore the code in the gearbox

Clear the F-Series 8HP Gearbox ISN: Clear the internal information that have used which have been matched and make them to new part

Reset F-8HP adaptation: Restore the adaptation information in the gearbox to the initial status

Reset F-6HP EWS: Restore the immo information in the gearbox to the initial status

Read E-6HP ISN (E70, E65 and E63): Read the ISN information from the gearbox, it is possible to get several ISN values, but only one is correct. The ISN you get is 4 bytes, the first 2 bytes are the gearbox ISN, and the last 2 bytes are the DME ISN. The gearbox byte is encrypted, and the DME byte is not encrypted. If the ISN read from DME is same as last 2 bytes ISN read from gearbox, it is the correct ISN
