Tips to Insert Toyota TOY48 Blank into Xhorse XM38 Remote Case

 Question: Xhorse Toyota XM38 remote, cannot get TOY48 blank (i.e. 2012 Highlander or 2010 style Prius prox key) to insert into case. It only goes as far as photo. Is there a trick?

Here are tricks from customers:

1. Cut off the openings and shave off a bit at the root of the toy48 blade. Do both and it will be fine. Extra 10 min. Don’t cut your hand.

2. Shave off the inside of the case.

3. shorten blade to minimum length eg. the old one, then edit case

4.
Your putting in the wrong slot. If you move the key to the edge of case it will slide straight in.

5. Plastic tab on the inside, break tab, insert Toy48, get paid.

Xhorse Dolphin XP005 Key Center Offset Too Large Solution

Here comes a similar problem:

I have an issue with my Xhorse dolphin XP005 that message comes up when I try to cut regular edge cut keys and I can’t figure it out.

Any keys I try cutting same message I get on my phone key center offset is too large.

I updated the firmware through the computer and adjusted the machine.

Solution: 

As far as the issue, we need a little bit of a story as to why the error popped up. Make sure you’re on in the correct line.

• First of all, keep firmware up-to-date. Update firmware via upgrade kit.  For the update, you must use a PC.
• The most common problem is the Height Level Adjustment. Be sure that under the cut setting that you’re not set to M5 when you have only the M1/M2.
• Make sure there are no metal shavings on the probe or the cutter.
• If you’re only doing one cut for progression, select only that cut to cut.
• And on another note, for all edge cut keys it is highly suggested to use 1.5mm cutter for the highest accuracy.

Xhorse Dolphin XP005L Cut 2019 Nissan Petrol NSN14 All Keys Lost

 Today I have a 2018-2019 Nissan Petrol key lock, and I’m going to cut a NSN14 key with Xhorse Dolphin XP005L Key Cutting Machine for the door. All keys were lost, so I should remove the lock from the side door to get its bitting codes.

Enter into key cutting interface:

Vehicle database >> Nissan >> All key blank >> NSN14 >> OK

As you can see, there are only 8 pins on the lock.

Input the bitting codes: 124223323, 124223323

Install a key blank on M5 clamp, tip align 4th position.

Press “Cut key >> Cut”.

Dolphin II will start cutting the key automatically…

Wait until processing finished.

Take out the new key for a try.

It can smoothly rotate the lock.

Successfully done.

How to Fix Xhorse XM38 Calculation Failed Error 9B

 Problem:

What seems to be the problem.  I can’t prepare xhorse xm38 toyota smart key, key tool max gave me error calculate failed Error 9B.  I tried with different wifi, and nothing changed! Any solution?

Solution:

Your remote is Chinese (CN) version. Error 9B means version of your device does not match that of the remote.

The Chinese packaging XM38s can’t be used outside of CHINA.

Do buy a Global version of XM38 remote.

How to Read BMW MSV80 DME ISN by Xhorse VVDI2

 BMW MSV80 ISN reading using Xhorse VVDI2 successfully. The process takes about ten minutes.

Connection diagram is on the right of the vvdi menu.
Pin 44 and 22 of the left connector
No need to connect resistors.

If vvdi2 failed to read MSV80 DME ISN,  you need to open it and move some components.
You can also Add the components from another DME or new. You can leave them in or remove them after. Some hardware versions had both sets, some only had one.

Or try bosch cable with vvdi prog or vvdi key tool plus with BMW ISN license.
