Problem:
I want to clone this Chevrolet Cruze BCM D70F3469 using Xhorse multi prog, but I’m getting this error.
Error: Chip configuration failed. Error code 08030201. Crystal frequency does not match.
Solution:
Check your connections. Need a 120 ohm resistor between the two CAN H and L wires. Between CAN H and L, just jumper those wires with the resistor.
A 120 ohm resistor is required on the CAN L and H wires, since their communication uses the resistance security system, implemented in the communication network of these units. This is intended to provide additional protection against diagnostics from the OBD2 port. If the circuit is opened by resistance, communication with the corresponding modules is lost. If you want to scan the vehicle and certain modules don’t communicate, by sheer logic, everything is derived thanks to the diagnostic protocol.

Here comes the BYD R7F701330A airbag wiring diagram to Xhorse Multi Prog programmer.
Here is the pinout.
In Multi Prog software, select Geely- Airbag R7F701330 Locked option to read and write airbag.
Problem:
Try to read Range Rover Vogue 2017 KVM with Xhorse vvdi key tool plus and XNDP16 JLR KVM solder free adapter.
Cracking keeps failing – tried force unlock too .
Possible reason:
1. Bad connection.
2. Wrong MCU choice.
3. Dead MCU. ID is FFFF.
Suggestion:
Clean the contact points. It shows chip id: FFFF so need to clean touch points and reattach adapter as for sure some pins do not have connection.
Clean conformal coating off and look closely to make sure that all the pins are correctly placed. It is not getting a good connection.
Check and see if there is a coating over the specific points on the PCB. If there is and it is thick enough, the pins won’t penetrate and you won’t get a reading.
Then try crack a few times.
If still fails to crack after multiple attempts, try test options 72 and 74. Then send us the test result.
You can also do this without adapter, go to weld RFA secured, you will see 2 components needs removing, use heat gun, think there’s only 5 wires to solder, more functions- unlock chip, after that go to read.
Question:
Done Audi Q7 2019 using Xhorse VVDI MLB tool, please confirm if you have to put the capacitors back in place and what happens if you don’t.
I managed to pull immo off the key and made dealer key with MLB Vvdi, first time trying it , haven’t tried to learn it yet as far as I can tell the key can be detected by mlb tool and remote working on oem with those two capacitors out.
Here is the clue.
Some users reported not putting back capacitors, the key still works.
Others put back only the bigger one, the key still works like new.
Key will work without, but those components are there for a reason they stabilise MCU. If you are a professional, you should put it back.
If you don’t put capacitors back, that will most likely make the key inconsistent or damage components in the long run.
The capacitors are there to stabilize/regularize the current to the remotes cpu, it will still work for a while but you have to remember they are there to ensure the CPU doesn’t get fried. So say a few weeks or a few months down the line the original remote fails that’s on you to fix.
Those are decoupling capacitors used to reduce HIGH FREQUENCY noise on the power rail on the MCU. Still will function but might fail due to rail voltages not being stable due to too much noise on the rail. Typically In pico Farhad range.
