Can VVDI2 Replace a used BMW FEM Module?

I have BMW FEM with water ingress.

How can I replace with used one?

Yes, it is possible to replace with a used one.

Unlock fem old and save backup file fem. unlock fem new and write file backup (write vin/isn ecu)

The ISN from ECU, you need isn save from old and write to new. Try the new vvdi prog bosch ecu cableto not have to opening ECU .

eeprom 95128 or 95256 need read and write.

Xhorse VVDI2  it okey. You can replace fem to other fem (both new and used FEM. This is confirmed by Xhorse engineer). Its 15 min.

if not connect you must have new fem ordered or used fem write new key and DME ISN and 8HP reset ISN ! change VIN IN FEM !

Can VVDI Prog Read BMW ECU MSV80?

Question :

VVDI prog can read this ECU BMW MSV80? i want to clone ECU.

 

Solution:

You can’t clone msv80 with vvdi. Otp sector ISN. Read used DME ISN and write it to CAS.

Vvdi prog can’t read this ecu! VVDI2 & VVDI BMW yes, read isn via OBD /by ecu pinout. Then you can put ISN of DME to CAS.

IM608 and Autohex II will read the ISN as well.

BMW F30 95128 eeprom data lost solution

Question:

BMW f30 after desoldering 95128 eeprom all data lost {maybe overheated }
in new eprom I wrote data from another FEM but car now starts only from emergency coil { remote did not works}
I tried to write many dumps from another fem . update FEM with ISTA , but remote still not works
is there any possibility to restore data ?
what if I add new key ? remote will works on new key ?
OR I NEED TO BUY NEW FEM ?

Chief engineer replied:

1. New fem or used fem with keys and adapt. Ori eeprom and keyless wont restore

2. Program new key for this FEM then the car start it should start by keyless, or use the same FEM renew it and adapt it by AVDI

SOLUTION for “professional” DRUGOWAZ
NO NEED TO BUY ANY NEW FEM !!!!!!!!!
find any 95128 dump from forum make all programming fem with Xhorse vvdi2. 
restore coding
now in car key must start only from emergency coil
next
at first read isn by vvdi from working key
erase key with vvdi
disassemble key
renew key by vvdi key tool or vvdi prog 
program “old” -new key with vvdi2
AND ALL !!!!
maybe all that can do with BMW explorer or autohex or anything else
Any other solutions?

I have done many FEM replacements from used modules, DME/DDE CAS ect ect. And to be honest on a scale of complexity this is a very straight forward job just need the right tools. For some it will make no sense to invest in these tools and so a new FEM will suit them fine. Even professionals buy and fit new parts!
