Clone Chevrolet E77 MED9.6.1 ECU by Xhorse Multi Prog

​The Bosch ME9.6.1 is an Engine Control Unit (ECU) used in various General Motors (GM) vehicles, including certain Opel, Saab, and Suzuki models. This ECU is known for its complexity, and handling it requires specialized tools and knowledge. Here we will show how to clone this ECM using Xhorse Multi Prog programmer.

Model example: Chevrolet Malibu (E77) Bosch ME9.6.1 ECM

Select Malibu Bosch ME9.6.1.
Check the wiring diagram. There are two types of wiring: E69 and E77. Select E77 type wiring here.

Connect origithe nal ECM with multi-prog.

Read EXT eeprom.
Read EXT flash of the original ECM.

Back up original ECM data successfully.
Disconnect original ECM.
Connect donor ECM with multi-prog.

Back up eeprom and flash data of the donor ECM.

Write original flash data to the donor ECM.

Multi-prog corrects checksum online.

Write original eeprom data to the donor ECM.

Install the donor ECM to vehicle.
