 How-to: read EDC16U1 ECU CS, MAC code, change km and IMMO Off using Xhorse vvdi2 programmer.

 

Run vvdi2 software

Select VW program

Go to Special Function-> Engine Control Unit
Read memory data

Detect type as EDC16U1

Read CS and MAC successfully

Input KM you desired to change and press write KM

Switch ignition OFF for 5 seconds, then switch ignition ON

VVDI2 Program 2017 VW Jetta NEC24C64 XSMQB Smart Key

 2017 VW Jetta keyless NEC 24c64+MQB couldn’t read data with cluster in service mode by pogo pin with  Xhorse VVDI2, had to read eeprom and write eeprom in service mode back but after had to turn ignition on to write original file. Figured you can hotwire few fuses together to turn ignition on without key.

I did dealer key myself with data I read of a car, the key I used is Xhorse Mqb universal smart key, I’ve just put vw logo on it.

Make sure you buy one with marking XSMQB that S stands for smart

Read 2018 Audi Q3 NEC+24C64 IMMO Data with Xhorse VVDI2

 Today I have an instrument cluster from 2018 Audi Q3 with all keys lost. What I’m going to do is to turn the odometer on and extract immo data with Xhorse VVDI2. Once getting the immo data, I can make a key.

 

Let’s go start disassembling this cluster.

Connect the dashboard to VVDI2 programmer.

Open VVDI2 software to login.

  1. The dashboard is dark when you see this tips. You need finish all operation before reset instrument.
  2. Read EEPROM and save it.
  3. Read immo data and save it.
  4. Prepare a dealer key(You can go to step7 if have working key also don’t want add key).
  5. Reset Instrument.
  6. Add key, use immo data to learn the new dealer key to car.
  7. Finish other customer requests.

 

NOTE: The dashboard will remain dark until “Reset Instrument”.

User “Reset Instrument” to active instrument after all the operation is finished.

Save EEPROM data file.

 

Read IMMO data.

Now I’ve successfully got all immo info including VIN, CS, PIN, MAC and keys. With the file so that I can continue to prepare key and make dealer key.

Program VW Passat B7 ID48 Key using VVDI2 and VVDI prog

 How to: program VW Passat B7 ID48 Key using Xhorse VVDI Prog+ VVDI2.

Here we have a working key so need to add a spare key. The easiest way is to clone ID48 transponder with vvdi mini key tool. Here we did it with vvdi prog and vvdi2 because have no id48 token. Same procedure if all keys lost.

Run VVDI2 software->VW->4th Immobilizer system- VW/Skoda/Seat->VW Passat/CC Key Learn

Select OBDII Read Login Code+ Part memory data

You can read engine ECU, get PIN, CS
Switch ignition OFF, then switch ON

security access failed, vvdi2 cannot read the login code for current ECU.

So we need to remove comfort module to read eeprom

Save original dump

Assemble the comfort module and install it back on the car.

 

Go to VVDI2 again
VVDI2->VW->4th Immobilzier system- VW/Skoda/Seat->VW Passat/CC Key Learn->Load Comfort Module EEPROM (95320)

Select Get PIN, VIN and search 7 bytes CS from dump file

decrypt 95320 dump file

Make dealer key with 7 bytes CS

Select Key Learning
Press OKAY button to start learning. Insert dealer key into car and switch it on for at least 2 seconds.
Then change next key within 5s.

New key will start key successfully.

You need to program the ID48 chip or the transponder separately.

The remote should be adapted separately.

Get the remote programmed by vcds cable.

Done.

How to Program BMW CAS2 CAS3 Key with VVDI2 and Godiag Test Platform?

 Godiag CAS2 CAS3 Semi Smart Test Platform is a dedicated device developed for BMW locksmiths, maintenance engineers. It can be used with multiple BMW key programming devices like Xhorse, Autel, CGDI, Lonsdor, OBDSTAR, Xtool, AVDI etc to add key or do all keys lost on bench.

 

This test platform is suitable for magnetic semi-intelligent or smart keys. It does not do mechanical keys.

Godiag CAS2 CAS3 Test Platform

Here vvdishop.com shows how to use the godiag test platform with Xhorse vvdi2vvdi bim tool or  VVDI Key Tool Plus Pad.

 

Step 1: Connect the CAS2/CAS3, CAS3+ CAS3++ modules with vvdi2 or bimtool pro according to the connection diagram.

Step 2: Put the key into the key sensing area.
Step 3: Connect the power supply and the corresponding power indicator light will light up. The start/stop button light is on. The coil sensor light will flash. [Indicates that the module can send out the key sensing signal normally. If the key and the module are synchronized, the light will flash regularly or stay on. If the key and module are out of sync, the flashing will be irregular and will stop after one minute.]
Step 4: Press the start switch. [If the key is synchronized with the CAS module, the IMMO synchronization detection indicator light will light up and the internal buzzer of the machine will sound. If the key is not synchronized with the CAS module, the IMMO synchronization detection indicator light will not light up and the internal buzzer of the machine will not sound.]
Step 5: Press the analog start and stop button, the IMMO synchronization detection indicator light will go out after 3 seconds. Press the analog start/stop button again and the IMMO synchronization detection indicator light will light up.
The following uses Xhorse vvdi2 device to perform BMW CAS2/CAS3, CAS3+ CAS3++ semi-intelligent/smart key programming and matching operations:
1. Connect the CAS2/CAS3, CAS3+ CAS3++ module and the key programming diagnostic device according to the connection diagram.
2 Select “key learn—CAS Key Learn—Connect”.

3.After successfully identifying the CAS information, select “Get Key Info” and “Save Key Info”.

4.Select an unused key position, be sure to select the “prepare dealer key with programmer” menu, and use the VVDI2 key programmer to generate the key. If the key is placed in the GODIAG CAS2 CAS3 SER Semi Smart Test Platform key sensing area, the dealer key will not be generated.

5.After programming the dealer key, put the key into the Godiag CAS2 CAS3 SER Semi Smart Test Platform induction port for testing. For test steps, please refer to “Synchronous Detection of Module and Key”.
If the IMMO light cannot light up, enter the VVDI2 menu “Key Learn—CAS/EWS Information—Connect—Synch DME-CAS or Synch CAS-ELV”. [When performing synchronization, the key must be placed in the key sensing area of the VVDI2 device.
